Resanding service
Hardwood floor resanding, or refinishing, involves removing the old finish and top layer of the wood, then applying a new finish to restore the floor's appearance.
Process:
Prep the Room: Remove furniture, rugs, and other items. Cover countertops, furniture with plastic to make sure your house stays clean during the process.
Repair: Patch and repair any larger holes or cracks with wood filler.
Sand: Use progressively finer grit sandpaper to remove the old finish and level the surface.
Buff: Lightly buff the floor to smooth the surface.
Prep for Sealer/Stain: Ensure the surface is clean and free of dust.
Apply Stain : Choose a stain color that complements the room's decor.
Seal: Apply a protective finish, such as varnish or lacquer, to seal the wood and protect it from wear and tear.
Refresh Service
To refresh hardwood flooring, we can buff and recoat for a quick fix.
Process:
Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the floors to remove dirt and debris.
Buffing: Use a buffer to remove scratches and worn finish, restoring shine.
Recoating: Apply a new coat of polyurethane or other finish to revitalize the surface and protect the wood.
Installation Service
Hardwood flooring installation involves preparing the subfloor, acclimating the wood, installing the flooring, and finishing with sanding and finishing coats.
Process:
Prep the Room: Remove furniture, rugs, and other items. Cover countertops, furniture with plastic to make sure your house stays clean during the process.
Acclimation:Allow the hardwood flooring to acclimate to the room's temperature and humidity for several days before installation. Place the flooring in the room where it will be installed, remove packaging, and stack the boards with spacers to allow air circulation.
Subfloor Preparation:Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, flat, and structurally sound. Remove any old flooring and residue, and address any squeaks or unevenness.
Layout: Determine the direction of the flooring and plan the layout accordingly.
Installation Method: Choose the appropriate installation method (e.g., nailing, screwing, gluing, or floating).
Sanding: Sand the floor to create a smooth surface, using progressively finer grit sandpaper.
Buffing: Buff the floor to remove any sanding marks and create a smooth finish
Finishing: Apply a finish coat, to protect the wood and enhance its appearance.
